Russia urges citizens to vote in election expected to extend Putin's rule

Voting is taking place for a second day on Saturday at polling stations across Russia's 11 time zones, in illegally annexed regions of Ukraine and online as the government urges its citizens to cast ballots. President Vladimir Putin, who has been in office for 24 years, is largely expected to win the election against what are viewed as token opposition candidates who agree with his policies.
